Beautifully vague language. Especially the part about anyone who "poses a significant risk of committing, an act or acts of violence that have the purpose or effect of:..." ..."undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq..."

Using this language, a person or persons invloved in a war protest in the U.S. could be easily construed as undermining efforts in the war in Iraq. So, now, without Habeus Corpus, an entire war protest could be rounded up and hauled off without due process: plus having all of their possessions and assets confiscated.

That is just one scenario. The language is broad enough to have implications for media descent, as well as any sponsors of that media. So much for the 5th Amendment.

I noticed an article yesterday about a backlog of people trying to get their US Passports. The process is taking longer, and the number of people looking to leave the country is spiking. Food for thought.
